Find Me A Beach House

Find Me A Beach House: Episode 10 reveal - Hamilton Island escape

Deborah Hutton caught up with retirees, Tony and Merilee who are seeking a relaxed sailing lifestyle in Hamilton Island.

Located off the mid coast of Queensland is the stunning destination of Hamilton Island, where Tony and Merilee are looking to make their new home.

As long-time sailing enthusiasts, the couple have kept their boat on the island for 20 years and know the area well, but want to make the move more permanent.

With five adult children between them, Tony and Merilee need enough space for their family and friends to visit, so ideally they'd like three to four bedrooms, waterfront views, a pool and close proximity to the marina where they can keep their boat.

While Deborah showed the couple two unqiue properties, the couple fell in love with a five bedroom, waterfront home.

Named Villa Madeira, the Hamilton Island home is the quintessential beach house with direct access to the water - perfect for Tony and Merilee's new lifestyle. The five bedroom property may sound large, however the structured levels of the house make the space feel warm and homely.

While they didn't get a pool, the homeowners have a private garden which leads onto the sandy shore of a beach with surrounding views of the island. Safe to say that Tony and Merilee found their ultimate beach house.
