How to create a pet paradise in your home

Simple ways to incorporate your pet in the home.

Regardless of whether they're supposed to be indoor or outdoor pets, our furry friends love to spend time inside with the family. To make them feel right at home, interior designer Stephanie Atanasovski from Porter Davis World of Style provides her tips on how you can make your four-legged friend fit in.

#1 Pet-friendly carpet

Updating your carpet that specialises in resisting pet hair and odour is a great way to incorporate your pet indoors, while keeping the family happy and the home smelling nice.

Cat furniture doesn't always work with a home's decor, so why not make your own? Using materials like timber which cats love to scratch on will be easy to have in a room, and a touch of greenery will make it a feature piece.

Go the extra mile and co-ordinate your pet's bedding to your own! You can either choose to match your winter flanelettes, or go for a more subtle touch and match to your room colour palette.
