Even vegans get to have a traditional Christmas roast this year with Woolworths' new plant-based festive range.
Woolworths is bringing some Christmas joy to vegans across Australia this year.
As most people look forward to pulling their turkeys and hams from the oven and pouring cream over their warm Christmas puds, vegans have long been left out of the festive food celebrations.
As a plant-based alternative, Woolies is offering a $12 pea-protein based roast, complete with festive Christmas spices and a cranberry and orange glaze.
For dessert, vegans will be spoiled for choice. There is a rich dairy-free chocolate and hazelnut mudcake for $20, as well as a vegan take on a traditional handmade Christmas pudding - full of dried fruit, brandy and festive spices - for $14.
To go alongside the sweet treats are multiple 1L tubs of coconut-based ice creams, including vanilla, chocolate and cookies and cream, all for only $8.
Woolworths Director of Fresh, Paul Harker, said: "In the last year alone, we have seen double-digit growth in demand for vegan products and have been working hard to create even more choice and variety for our customers this Christmas."
Thanks to Woolies, no one will be left out of a Christmas feast this festive season. "Whether it's due to a food allergy or because our customers want to incorporate more plant-based foods into their diet, we want to make it as easy as possible for them to enjoy delicious festive food," said Paul Harker.
It's never been so simple to make sure everyone is catered for!
