Unpacking groceries can be a tedious task. But one woman left her boyfriend stunned over her ‘lazy’ approach to getting it done.
Sharing his dilemma on Reddit, the man – who goes by the user name ‘mildy infuriating’ – said he can’t stand the way his girlfriend unpacks the groceries.
He claims that after she gets home from doing the shopping she simply places the full bags of groceries in the cupboard and the fridge instead of unpacking the items.
“The way my GF ‘puts away the groceries’ still in the bag,” he wrote alongside a picture of bags full of food shoved on a pantry shelf.
Hundreds of people commented on the ‘weird’ method with many saying their relationship was ‘doomed’, while others said he should break up with her over the strange habit.
“Honestly this would be a deal breaker for me, if you're that lazy our lifestyles are not compatible,” one person said.
“There's no other way, you have to throw the whole girlfriend away,” another said.
“This relationship is doomed. End it now. Make her promise to never have kids,” joked a third.
Other were stunned at how lazy his girlfriend was and questioned what the other areas of their house looked like.
“How can a single picture make me so angry?” one person commented.
“Laziness has reached a whole new level,” said another.
“Burn the whole house down. That can't be fixed,” commented a third.
But the man quickly discovered he wasn’t alone with others saying they knew the frustrated feeling all too well.
“My husband used to do that until he forgot to ever open a box of twinkies that sat in a bag long enough to go stale and then moldy,” one woman said.
“Mine does too, and it is ridiculous,” said another.
“I only do this if I bought several things for one recipe that I plan to use the same or next day. Easier to keep together in one bag than have to remember the individual items later,” another person admitted. “But just to do in general? Infuriatingly lazy.”
Whether she's an organisation genius or extremely lazy, we're pretty sure she won't be too happy that her boyfrined shared her habit across the internet!
