Not many people would have the patience to bring a badly stained sofa back to life, but one woman has shown exactly how it’s done.
Thanks to ALDI’s miracle cleaning product Di San Pre Wash Stain Remover, she was able to bring the pre-loved couch back to life.
The mum said she was happy when she found the $3000 Freedom lounge for $450 on Facebook Marketplace after searching for a couch for her kids’ lounge room.
But when she arrived to pick up the cream chaise sofa, it was in much worse condition than the sale pictures had shown.
But she was up for the challenge, she decided to take it home anyway to try her luck at cleaning it.
Explaining her cleaning sucess in the ALDI mums Facebook page, the Melbourne woman said it took her a couple of hours to completely transform the couch using Di San and her Bissell spot cleaner.
And she couldn’t be happier with the incredible results!
“$2549 saving today, thanks to Aldi and my little green machine!” she wrote in her post.
“Today is a beautiful sunny day so outside we all went; The Disan, the little green machine and myself for an hour of us time and the results are unbelievable!”
She said she used the Di San both in the Bissell ‘Green Machine’ and sprayed it directly onto spot stain on the couch.
“There were spot stains and rub marks from general use and the water in the machine looks terrible, but on the upside the water looked much worse after I did my car seats a month ago,” she said.
“So thanks Aldi and Bissell, I am one very happy mumma.”
She added that she also washed the cushion covers on a pre-wash cycle using another cult-ALDI product, Di San Laundry Soaker, before leaving them out in the sun to dry.
Other’s who have a similar couch were grateful for the tips, saying they were going to try it themselves on their furniture.
“OMG I love hearing stuff like this. Well done. You give me hope as I’m currently looking for a new couch myself and probably the same budget as well,” one woman wrote.
“Looks fabulous … great score,” another said.
“You did a great job, well done,” another added.
