Charlie Albone has opened up about his difficult decision to walk away from Selling Houses Australia.
The much-loved member of the Selling Houses Australia trio, which also includes interior designer Shaynna Blaze and property expert Andrew Winter, has announced he will leave the top-rating Foxtel show at the end of Season 13.
The popular landscaper says he felt he had to leave the show and take a different job because the travel was taking a toll on his family life.
Charlie is married to interior stylist Juliet Love and the couple have two young boys, Leo and Hartford.
"The last couple of series has been quite hard on the family because there's a lot of travel," Charlie tells LifeStyle exclusively. "The homes we work on aren't usually in main cities and there are so many places, which takes up a lot more time."
Charlie felt he needed to be at home in Sydney more as his boys grew and started school.
But despite this, he admits the decision to leave the show wasn't an easy one because he's loved every minute of his time on the show and can't imagine life without it.
"It was a really difficult decision to make because Selling Houses Australia is so popular and so much fun to do," he explains.
Although Charlie will be glad to be spending more time with Juliet and the boys, isn't he going to miss Andrew and Shaynna?
"Well, there are lots of things I won't miss about Andrew and Shaynna...," he jokes. "No, I'll miss Andrew and Shaynna the most... we're good friends and I've spent over a decade of my life doing this, so it's going to seem a bit odd not working with them as much," he reveals.
