Urgent recall on ice cream sold at Coles and Woolworths across Australia

A popular ice cream brand has been forced to recall their chocolate flavour tubs.

The low-calorie ice cream - on sale nationally at Coles and Woolworths - is being recalled after tubs were wrongly labelled and customers could get sick if they eat it.

Halo Top Australia is recalling their Chocolate Ice Cream (473 ml) with a Best Before reading 28 MAR 21 and has a Batch Code of 9088.

The recall is due to non-compliant labelling, meaning that in a small number of cases a dairy-free labelled lid may be on the tub of chocolate frozen dessert that contains dairy.

If eaten by anyone with a milk allergy or intolerance there may be a reaction if they eat the product.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand recommend that anyone with a milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product and should return it to the store where they bought it for a full refund.
