Australia's favourite TV chefs have flooded social media with love and support for Maggie Beer following the news her daughter Saskia has died.
On Sunday night Maggie, a judge on Great Australian Bake Off, took to Instagram to post the heartbreaking news that Saskia had died in her sleep, aged just 46.
Saskia, a mum of three, was also a highly-regarded cook and had followed in her mum’s footsteps, launching Saskia Beer Farm Produce in the heart of the Barossa Valley.
Saskia's website said that she had an “affinity for food” after growing up "surrounded by the principles of good farming and honest cooking” through her mother and father.
Maggie’s post read, “It is with broken hearts we need to let you all know that our beautiful, extraordinary daughter Saskia died unexpectedly yet peacefully in her sleep on Friday night.
We ask for time/space as we grapple to come to terms with our loss and appreciate all the support we have been given. Maggie, Colin and family.”

Following her devastating news, tributes from some of Australia’s favourite chefs were posted on social media.
Matt Moran, a fellow judge on Great Australian Bake Off, posted a beautiful photo of Maggie and Saskia in a clearly heart felt post.
It read, "Words cannot express my heartbreak for Maggie, Colin and her family. Saskia was such a beautiful soul whose love and talent for food and cooking was as inspirational as her Mum’s. I am sending all my love to them during this time"
Other TV chefs also opened up about how devastated they were for Maggie and Saskia's husband Petar Jercic and their three children.
Kylie Kwong wrote on Maggie's Instagram post, "Your beautiful, special, darling Sassy-girl ... I am just so, so sad for all of you, I loved Sassy so much and hold you all very, very closely in my heart XXX"
Well-known home cook Lyndey Milan, whose son Blair died in 2011, commented, "Darling Maggie, I hope you got my message. So very very sad. Sending you, Colin and family all my love. Devastating for us to be united by the loss of a child. Take care of yourselves as Saskia would want you to."
Former MasterChef judges Gary Meighan and Matt Preston both left messages of support, clearly upset for Maggie and the family.
"So sad," wrote Matt. "My love and thoughts are with you, Colin and the family."
"So terribly sad for your devastating loss Maggie & Colin., said Gary. "From our family to yours our thoughts are with you and we send all our love XX"
While I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here winner Miguel Maestre wrote, "O my dear @maggie_beer I’m sooo sorry for your loss. Lots of love for Colin and the familia Love"
