From pool noodles to yoga balls, these Christmas DIY hacks look fantastic and save a bundle!

It may only be November, but it is never too early to start crafting for Christmas, especially when it looks this good and saves you so much money. People in the Kmart hacks Facebook groups have come up with amazingly creative and innovative ideas to use everyday Kmart products to make wonderful wreaths, baubles and runners for the festive season.

The Kmart Mums Facebook showed off their fantastic festive creations. Using nothing but a $2 pool noodle, some tinsel, baubles and a hot glue gun, you can whip up a Christmas centre piece that would put a professional to shame.

With a total cost of under $20, this super customisable idea is perfect for any Yuletide table. Pick your baubles, tinsel or even lights and fake holly or pine to match your colour tablescape's colour scheme.

The yoga ball giant bauble

The Kmart Hacks & Decor Facebook group are utilising $8 yoga balls to craft larger than life Christmas baubles that you need to see to believe! 

Using rope to separate out areas and acrylic paint, the yoga balls are covered festive designs and then made them waterproof. To finish, the top of the bauble is a metal bowl attached with liquid nails and then the base is balanced with a funnel. Although impressive, these are a big time investment.

"I've spent the last 3 weeks working on these super sized outside baubles but they are finally finished," one user wrote.

Is there any end to the utility of the pool noodle?!

By simply trimming a Kmart noodle to your desired length and then securing it into a ring with tape, you have the perfect base on which build the wreath of your dreams.

For a massive statement piece, true Kmart wreath devotees attach two pool noodles together to create an absolutely giant wreath.

Once your base is solid, then you can attach baubles of a curated scheme of your choice, using one of many methods: wire inserted into the noodle, super glue or hot glue.

Many go for a traditional red and green or a single sophisticated shade of festive gold or silver, but there are also people who aren't afraid to embrace the entire colour spectrum on their wreath.
