This random act of kindness will bring tears to your eyes.
A Texas mother's simple trip to the local cake store to pick up her daughter's birthday cake was meant to be just that - simple - but what happened when she got there is something she believes she will never forget.
In a detailed post on Facebook, mum-of-two Holly Grimet revealed she took her 8-year-old daughter Ava to the bakery and was surprised when a stranger decided to pay for the little girl's cake.
"Ya'll this stuff never happens to me. I walked in to Kroger to pick up the girls' cakes and cupcakes the sweet lady tells me your cake has been paid for and the lady who paid for it left a note," she wrote.
"I told her I don't think I can read it in here I will cry. She said we have all cried and we've posted the note on facebook and making it go viral," Holly continued.
"I feel at times I'm always trying to do the right thing and wanting to be a better person even though I fall short daily. This. Melts. My. Heart. I'm a crying mess. So thankful for my babies and wow Eva just turned 8."
So what exactly did the note say?
For those who can't read the handwriting, the note begins: "My son Nehemiah would be 8-years-old today. I want to remember my son by doing good to others."
"I hope you enjoy your child’s cake, and I hope your day is special," it continues.
Ok - at this stage - grab some tissues.
"Hold your baby a little tighter today, watch them as they play, be patient with them, kiss their sweet, little hand and tell them how much you love them. Our children are such special gifts! I hope your day is beautiful!
"Much love from me and my angel in heaven to your family."
Absolutely heartbreaking. And still, despite difficult circumstances - this woman found a phenomenal way to spread happiness around her.
