Russell Crowe gives Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell a thoughtful wedding gift

And no, it's not a South Sydney jersey.

Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell surprised fans when they tied the knot at Australia Zoo on March 25.

The couple, who became engaged in July 2019, changed everything they had planned for over a year, bringing their celebration forward to comply with strict Covid-19 Government restrictions – which now allow no more than five people at a wedding.

Although they shared photos of their intimate soirée, the newlyweds have since taken to social media to share a special gift they reciebed from long-time family friend and Hollywood actor Russell Crowe.

Taking to her Instagram account, Bindi hit two birds with one stone - by wishing the Russell a happy birthday and sharing the gift he gave the loved-up duo.

In the images, the couple are seen posing alongside a fig tree wrapped in a white bow with a tag that read: “Port Jackson Fig. Presented to Bindi and Chandler to commemorate their wedding. Love from Russell Crowe and Family”.

“Happy Birthday, @russellcrowe. ?You’ll always be part of our family. Even though we can’t see you right now, we’re giving the beautiful fig you gifted us a hug and thinking of you.?

"Hope your day is extraordinary,” she wrote.

Russell gave the happy couple a fig tree as a gift in celebration of their new marriage.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to praise the Gladiator star for sending such a sweet gift to the couple.

“What an Amazingly thoughtful gift. The gift that keeps giving. Anniversary after anniversary. I’d take pictures of that tree it’s kinda symbolic it changes as it grows as will your marriage,” one Instagram user wrote.

Another called it "a beautiful gesture".  And one even said they want a "Russell fig tree”.

We agree! We hope the couple (and the fig tree) have a fruitful life!
