People in isolation now taking group fitness classes from their balconies

Anything for the abs!

Coronavirus has swept the globe with hundreds of people kept indoors for isolation, with Spain as the latest country to order a total lockdown for the entire nation.

And while Spaniards are following their quarantine restrictions, a group of apartment residents in Seville aren't letting the isolation stop them from keeping fit.

Spanish fitness group, Sano Sevilla Los Bermejales recently posted a video showing one of their instructors host a class from a rooftop to surrounding apartments.

Residents of the apartments are seen outside in their balconies doing star jumps in unison following the instructor.

The video's caption translates to: "This is the spirit of Sano Sevilla Los Bermejales. However adverse the circumstances may be, we are going to make the best of it."

The video has quickly gone viral around the world with people in awe of the Spaniards efforts.

According to the World Health Organisation, those isolated or confined to their home should stay connected and try to maintain their daily routines as much as possible.

“During times of stress, pay attention to your own needs and feelings,” WHO explains. “Engage in healthy activities that you enjoy and find relaxing. Exercise regularly, keep regular sleep routines and eat healthy food. Keep things in perspective.”

Is this the new way to join a gym class?
