The royals have finally found their new home.
More than five months after Meghan Markle and Prince Harry decided to leave Frogmore Cottage, the couple have locked down a new home in Santa Barbara, California, and are now living there with baby Archie.
The couple’s spokesman has confirmed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have bought a home in the coastal city, located a few hours outside of L.A., where Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, resides.
An official spokesperson for Meghan and Harry also told E! News that the couple has “settled into the quiet privacy of their community since their arrival and hope that this will be respected for their neighbors, as well as for them as a family.”
The couple have moved closer to Meghan's mum, Doria Ragland.
As previously reported on LifeStyle, Harry and Meghan moved from the UK to Los Angeles back in March.
Interestingly, in Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand’s new book which is based on on Meghan and Harry’s time in the royal family, the authors noted that the Sussexes’ L.A. home wasn't a long-term residence. “Both loved the idea of finding somewhere smaller, perhaps closer to the sea,” they wrote.
And a source told Page Six that hitting this milestone is a big one as they plan to raise their son in the Santa Barbara home. “This is where they want to bring Archie up, where they hope he can have as normal a life as possible,” the source said.
“They have thought about this carefully and researched it well … This is the place where they plan to be happy, make good friends, and bring up Archie, giving him the chance to play with other children his age."
We're yet to see images of the new home, but if it's good enough for the Sussexes, it's good enough for us!
