A new range of luxury Star Wars cookware has gone on sale

In a kitchen far far away…

Classic high-end cookware brand, Le Creuset, has teamed up with Disney to create a series of Star Wars inspired kitchenware, promoting The Rise of Skywalker.

Highlights of the line include a Porg pie bird – a ceramic device that sits inside a pie to let out steam and prevent soggy bottoms.

There are also silicone trivets shaped like the Death Star and Millennium Falcon and Le Creuset's classic Dutch ovens come in BB-8, R2-D2, C-3PO and Darth Vader finishes.

Also available is a dramatic ‘Han Solo in Carbonite’ roaster. Now you can recreate the famous “I love you” “I know” scene every time you slip Pan Solo into the oven.

In addition to the line, Le Creuset is offering a limited edition Tatooine inspired Dutch oven. Only nine of the hand-painted pots will be made, celebrating the “9-part Skywalker Saga”, and they carry a whopping $1300 ($900 US) price tag.

Although a bit more expensive than the already quite pricey normal Le Creuset, the Disney line seems to be a hit with cookware and Star Wars fans alike.

People took to Twitter to express their enthusiasm for the new partnership. One excited fan wrote: "I am a 30-year-old that has two obsessions which I would gladly spend my cash on. Star Wars and Le Creuset. I LOVE the collab!"

“A long time ago in a galaxy far far away someone wondered just how far Star Wars merchandising would go and shortly after a decision was reached, word emerged of the Star Wars / Le Creuset tie-up and a new marker was set,” another tweeter jested.

So if you want to make a R2-DStew or a Princess layer cake, grab a Star Wars Dutch oven while stocks last.
