Kmart Australia stores have changed opening hours amid coronavirus crisis

Sorry guys, you may have to wait a little while before your next Kmart run!

There's no doubt about it, the coronavirus crisis is impacting businesses aorund the world and the latest to fall victim to it is our beloved Kmart.

Kmart Australia have now changed their operating hours to give staff more time to clean and fulfill online orders.

As of Wednesday April 1, stores across Victoria, New South Wales and Tasmania will be operating 8am-8pm on weekdays and 8am-5pm on weekends.

All 24-hour stores will now trade 8am-10pm 7 days a week.

Meanwhile, Western australia and South Australia will open 8am-8pm on weekdays, 8am-5pm on weekends.

And Queensland stores will kick off trading hours from 7am-8pm on weekdays and Saturday, while Sunday will operate between 9am-5pm.

The company shared the details in an official media release and said the shift in hours is simply becuase they aim to keep their stores clean, safe and equipped for staff members and shoppers during this difficult time.
