Ikea's X-rated carpet has gone viral online - for a very funny reason

One cheeky customer has taken to Facebook to point out that a popular rug sold at Ikea, happens to have an x-rated figure on it.

Although the carpet’s description says it has a “geometric pattern” that is “inspired by modernist Bauhaus design”, the shopper revealed that she thought it resembled the male genetalia.

"Just had to share this new edition in Ikea flooring, is it just me?” the woman wrote alongside the Swedish retailer’s Spansbro rug. 

Her post, which was shared in the IKEA, Kmart, Target, Big W, Aldi, etc – Hacks & Product Reviews Australia Facebook group has garnered loads of attention from curious customers, whom openly admitted they thought it looked like a "penis rug."

In fact, many saw the humorous side of the woman's observation.

“Good for sex therapy office,” one person jested. 

“You would have to be a right knob to pick this one," another added.

Meanwhile, others said they simply appreciated the “very brave design choice.”
