Harry and Meghan's waxworks removed from Madame Tussauds

After The Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed their plans to step back as senior royals, the world-famous museum has made a strange move.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s waxworks have been removed from the Madame Tussauds royal family exhibit after yesterday's shock announcement.

The museum reacted to the news almost immediately, taking the figurines away from the royal family exhibit.

Fans took to social media to share the empty space, which looked quite strange next to the other royal figures.

The waxworks will continue to be on display, but they will be moved to another area, separate from the other members of the royal family.

Steve Davies, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London, said: “Alongside the rest of the world we are reacting to the surprising news that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be stepping back as senior Royals.

“From today Meghan and Harry’s figures will no longer appear in our Royal Family set.

“As two of our most popular and well-loved figures they will of course remain an important feature at Madame Tussauds London as we watch to see what the next chapter holds for the them.”
