The simple way to stop shoppers panic-buying toilet roll

Combatting the ridiculous toilet paper hoarding occurring in the wake of the Coronavirus, this online calculator proves just how much toilet paper you actually need.

If you're feeling worried that you might be running low or you feel you could have enough to spare a roll to someone in need, crunch the numbers with the Coronavirus Toilet Paper Calculator.

The online tool estimates the amount of TP you will require and the percentage a two-week quaratine you are covered for. Hopefully, it will alleviate some of the COVID-19 panic-buying that has taken place over the last couple of weeks, leaving supermarket shelves empty.

To use it, you just enter the number of rolls you have on hand and a general estimate of how many trips to the bathroom you take in a day and the calculator will tell you how long your supply will last. With workplaces around the world moving to remote working, this is more likely a higher number than usual.

You can also go into 'advanced options' to really get into the specifics of your loo roll usage. In this section, you can enter many key points that could impact your TP estimate, such as: the number of people in the household, the number of sheets on your specific brand, average sheets per use and length of quarantine.

The calculator's website says that the fun tool was created by "London based student Software Developer Ben Sassoon and Artist Sam Harris after they had a discussion about how much toilet paper they each used on a day to day basis".

It has already been used by over 5,000,000 people. Users have taken to social media to share the tool and tell their friends how long their toilet paper will last.

If you're anxious about your TP, put your mind at rest and just do the math! Let the Coronavirus Toilet Paper Calculator do the work!
