Gogglebox Australia: Kaday reveals the tough truth about her life away from the show

The Gogglebox star and the frontline worker gets candid in a new interview with LifeStyle.

Kaday Kamara and Chantel Bakac became household names when they joined Gogglebox Australia earlier this year.

And while she's nothing but fun on TV, Kaday is trying to overcome her fair share of adversity in her day-to-day life.

Speaking to LifeStyle, Kaday who works as a frontline nurse during the trying time of the Coronavirus pandemic reveals the past few months have been tough.

"Sometimes the whole COVID situation gets to me. But as soon as I go to work, it's nice, because I think, 'This is my space and I'm helping people,'" she explains.

"And once you're there you just focus on the job at hand and keep doing what you're doing with amazing colleagues."

However, when she's not on shift at the hospital, Kaday reveals she tries to keep herself busy so she doesn't dwell on the realities of hospital life.

"I always try and keep my mind off it on the outside. So when I come home I try to remove myself from the workload, I hang out with Chantel, I go shopping, study or just enjoy down time."

She also admits that not having a boyfriend right now means she has plenty of spare time.

"I broke up with my boyfriend just before COVID," she says. "So of course having good friends around has kept me happy. Spending time with Chantel makes it easier."

And both girls are enjoying the single life right now.

"I'm blaming COVID for not having a boyfriend," explains Chantel. "It's hard enough to date when we're not experiencing a pandemic, but now is worse!"

Well, we're delighted the girls have each other to entertain Australia on TV!
