This toilet paper aisle saw more medical drama than Grey's Anatomy!
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, shoppers have been frantically rushing to their local grocery stores in a bid to buy some loo roll - and one American mother was no different.
According to Walmart store manager, Jessica Hinkle, the mother (who would rather not be named) was in the toilet paper aisle when she went into an unexpected labour.
Speaking to WAVY News, Hinkle said the store associates were helping the pregnant woman when "Another lady comes around the corner and she says 'I'm a labor nurse. Can I help?'.
Be it pure luck or an amaing twist of fate, the nurse turned up in the nick of time, with gloves in her pocket.
But she wasn't the only God sent, with local firemen in the department store at the ready to help anyway they could.
Taking to Twitter, Springfield fire department chief David Pennington said, "During a time of panic and fear it is incredible to run a call that produces joy and brings new life into the world."
And now some good news: LT Kuss and his crew safely assisted mom with the emergency delivery of her baby. Both are doing very well. The store manager said the whole labour took about 45 minutes. This was the mother's second birth, and she had told them her first birth was quick, too.
Congratulations to the new mum!
