Their late dad Steve Irwin would be so proud!
Bindy Irwin and Chandler Powell officially tied the knot in a surprise wedding at Australia Zoo on March 25.
The couple, who became engaged in July 2019, changed everything they had planned for over a year, bringing their celebration forward to comply with strict Covid-19 Government restrictions – which now allow no more than five people at a wedding.
And someone who was right there beside her was her baby brother, Bob Irwin.
Taking to his Instagram, he dedicated a post to his sister and her new husband - alongside a wedding snap of the bride and groom.
"This is a day that we will never forget. Bindi and Chandler, words cannot describe how happy and proud I am that today you started your married life and celebrated love during a difficult time for our world," he began his post.
"And I was beyond honoured to get to walk Bindi down the aisle today. Even though all of your wedding plans had to change at the last minute to keep everyone safe and healthy, it truly was an emotional and beautifully spontaneous day."
He even mentioned their late father, given his absence.
"I know that Dad was with us, and we are all so delighted for your future as husband and wife. I love you both."
The bride also shared an important message with her followers on Instagram, telling fans she ensured her father’s memory was included in her special day.
“Today we celebrated life and reveled in every beautiful moment we shared together in our Australia Zoo gardens. Mum helped me get ready, Robert walked me down the aisle, Chandler became my husband and together we lit a candle in Dad's memory. We shared tears and smiles and love,” she wrote.
Congratulations to the lovely couple!
