Would you take your newborn to a baby spa?

We all love a bit of pampering, so how about treating your baby?

Now located in a few spots across the nation, Baby Spa Australia is a day spa dedicated to bubs. While it may sound a bit strange, there are some surprising benefits to taking your baby out for a spa day.

Baby Spa Australia, which first opened in Melbourne back in 2017, offers hydrotherapy to help strengthen bones and muscles and promote good sleep as just a few of the listed benefits on their website. No spa would be complete without a massage, so after the hydrotherapy session, your little one can enjoy a gentle massage too.

It seems mums across the world are noticing the benefits of a pamper day for their bubs. In fact, a mum of two from the UK was inspired to open a zen space for babies and mums to escape to.

On her business' website, Spa Babies, Lisa details her struggles to go and socialise during her maternity leave. She admits she felt out of place at mother's groups and playgroup, so in search of a support network that suited her, Spa Babies was born.

Since Spa Babies only accommodates four babies at a time, Lisa has purposefully ensured that a trip to her spa is relaxing for bubs and parents. The spa is specially designed for babies aged zero to nine months and is a 50-minute bonding experience for the parent and baby. Each baby will experience a spa bath and a baby facial! You can also take a very cute souvenir photo of your baby enjoying their spa day.
