Such a good tip!
One shopper made her way to the self-serve counter at Woolworths and made a surprising discovery - star fruit was no-where to be found in the "S" category, but instead listed under "C and D."
Taking to Facebook Group, Mums Who Cook & Bake, Courtney Carter shared the handy hint with fellow shoppers.
"Anyone that goes to buy STAR FRUIT from woolies it’s located in C. Took me ages to find it."
"I know dragonfruit are part of the cactus family .. I don’t think that justifies them being filed under C for cactus fruit though lol," one person replied.
"Yes of course. Star fruit with a silent & invisible C," another shopper joked.
"I always look for watermelon under w but it’s under m for melon," a third shared.
Although many were grateful for the tip, others advised that perhaps the retailer had included star fruit in the 'C' list, as the fruit is primarly knows as Carambola in some parts of the world.
"Should say also 'Carambola' hence the C," the shopper confirmed.
And she appears to be correct - in fact one Woolworths staffer even mentioned that very often some fruits can be included under mulitple letter categories.
"I work at woolworths and havn’t seen star fruit yet at my local. [With] the fruit and vegetables there’s a few that are in different catergories."
