The Spanish actor is celebrating his 60th birthday in quarantine, after testing positive for Coronavirus.
Antonio Banderas revealed to his fans this week that he has contracted COVID, and unfortunately, his illness has coincided with his 60th birthday.
He took to Instagram to make the announcement, posting a black and white image of himself as a small child. Antonio says he is still celebrating the milestone while in quarantine.
The message was written in both Spanish and English. "Quiero contaros lo siguiente…,” it began, which translates to, “I want to tell you all the following…”
“I want to make the news public that today, August 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday in quarantine, having tested positive for the COVID-19 illness caused by the coronavirus," Antonio continued.
“I would like to add that I find myself relatively well, only a bit more tired than usual and confident that I will recuperate as soon as possible by following the medical instructions that I hope will help me overcome the infectious process that I am suffering and that has affected so many others around the planet.”
American celebrity, Alyssa Milano recently revealed that she has been battling COVID19 for months, leaving her with horrible residual symptoms.
"I thought I was dying. It felt like I was dying. Please take care of yourselves. Please wash your hands and wear a mask and social distance. I don’t want anyone to feel the way I felt. Be well. I love you all,” she wrote on Instagram.
