The message was written in both Spanish and English. "Quiero contaros lo siguiente…,”  it began, which translates to, “I want to tell you all the following…”

“I want to make the news public that today, August 10, I am forced to celebrate my 60th birthday in quarantine, having tested positive for the COVID-19 illness caused by the coronavirus," Antonio continued.

“I would like to add that I find myself relatively well, only a bit more tired than usual and confident that I will recuperate as soon as possible by following the medical instructions that I hope will help me overcome the infectious process that I am suffering and that has affected so many others around the planet.”

Antonio Banderas is just one of many celebs to have recently shared their struggle against Coronavirus infection. Mel Gibson announced that he had tested positive, as did pop star, Pink.
