Would you be up for this kind of thing?
Isolation is tough on some people, but wouldn't it be better with free wine? We think so, too. So you'll be excited to know that ALDI is looking for a group of 30 lucky people to become their new wine taste testers for their 24th Aldi Wine Club.
This opportunity is perfect for amateur wine enthusiasts (aren't we all?), where you'll be sent three bottles of their best wine to try out over a six week period, and all you have to do is give your honest opinion on social media using the hashtag #AldiWineClub.
But, if you don't get in the first group, don't stress - they pick a new group of 30 people every three months so you're still in with a chance.
Posting on their social media, the German supermarket chain wrote:
"Know a thing or two about your grapes? Fancy yourself as a wine expert? Well now you have the chance to have your say as we are after budding wine connoisseurs to join our new panel.
"Every three months we will select 30 burgeoning wine experts to join us on a tasting journey of Aldi's delicious wines.
"Being part of the panel means that you'll be the first to hear about our award-winning wines, and we'll send you three delicious bottles from our range to try over a six week period.
"All we ask is that you taste and review the wines in a tweet using the dedicated #AldiWineClub hashtag.
"Along with the wines, to help you with your monthly reviews we'll also send you a selection of tasting notes to guide you on everything from the aroma and body to the taste."
Sounds pretty easy, right? The difficult thing will be making three bottles last over six weeks!
To be in the running, you need to send an email to ALDI with your Twitter handle, proof of age and 150 words on why you think you should be chosen for the group.
The role is unpaid, but you will be getting free booze so it's not all a loss.
It's unclear which exact wines will be featured, however, ALDI is known for selling multi-award winning plonk - so you're basically guranteed a delicious time.
While this is super exciting news, the competition is currently only running in the UK but we hope that it travels to Australia very soon - as we think we would be excellent at it.
