After travelling around Europe for work, the TV host shared a COVID update with her social media followers.
Presenter of A Place in the Sun, Laura Hamilton, is required to travel a lot for work.
And, as we are currently living in a global pandemic, this has become increasingly more complicated.
Laura took to Instagram to share her experience. After recently travelling between Greece and Italy, she was scheduled to go to Cyprus.
In order to enter the country, she needed to be tested for Coronavirus 72 hours before departing.
Posting a video to social media, she told her followers that she was about to get a COVID test in order to fly out to Cyprus for filming. She captioned the clip: "Time for another COVID TEST! #travelsafe."
"Good morning. I am in a taxi on my way to London to have a COVID test because this weekend I am flying to Cyprus," Laura began.
"In order to get into Cyprus you have to have a test 72 hours before you get there," the presenter explained.
"Not sure if you’ve had one of these tests, they are not the nicest of tests, but it’s got to be done. I had it a couple of weeks ago when I travelled to Italy."
Around halfway through the Instagram clip, the A Place in the Sun star realises that she was wearing her mask upside down. Although embarrassed, she notes that it's important that she wears one at all.
"Have I even got this mask on the right way round? I think I’ve got it on upside down. ‘Anyway, the main thing is I’m wearing a mask."
It is especially important for Laura to take precautions to protect herself from the virus, as she suffers from immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), an autoimmune disease that impacts blood platelets.
The condition is fairly rare, with only 4000 adults diagnosed.
