She's one of Australia's most recognised and revered media icons - with a career spanning over 25 years. But there are some hidden things that you may not know about Deborah Hutton.
You may think you know all about the host of Find Me a Beach House, but you'll be surprised to discover that Deborah Hutton's interests and skillsets go far beyond anything you thought of.
Here's five things, for starters:
Her favourite sport is golf
"Absolutely love my golf," she says. "That’s my favourite sport." The media icon regularly posts when she goes on the green, including a time when she played with the late Bob Hawke. And it doesn't end there, as she reveals, "And I love watching it, especially live on Foxtel."
She's a rev-head
"I love cars, I love V8s, I’m an absolute rev-head," she admits with a big grin. "I drove a V8 Monaro for years." And while she says she's a good driver, she also reveals she's a bit of a lead-foot. "I wouldn’t say I’m always living on as many points as I’d like, that’s a delicate way of putting it," she laughs.
She's AFL royalty
And has been the number one ticket holder for the Sydney Swans - thank you very much. "It’s a very privileged position to be in," she says. "I’m a mad Swans fan. I bleed red and white." When she's not putting on the green, you can see her in the stands of the AFL stadium cheering on her local team.
She's got an extended vocabulary
"I’ve got a potty mouth," the host plainy puts. "It's definitely getting worse as I get older, definitely getting worse.... and I don’t give a -," she adds with a cheeky laugh. "So that’s not a great thing, but anyway!" We're all right with you, Deb.
She's published two cook books
"I love to cook, and I love to and entertain," the host says. And her newly renovated Hampton-style Bronte beach house is the perfect setting to wine and dine, and show off some recipes from two of her published cook books.
