Want to find out more about Blake? We've got the low-down...
NAME: Blake Worrall-Thompson
Where did you grow up? First 2 years in London, 12 years in Victoria, 6 years in Adelaide and now 3 years in Sydney. I'm well-travelled!
What qualities do you look for in a woman? For me a woman needs to look after their health, have a passion, be motivated, positive, have a good 'balance' and not take themselves too seriously. They need to love all those real things in life that bring happiness - which isn't cars, money or the flakey things!
What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever done? Years ago I organised a surprise holiday to the snow for my girlfriend at the time for our 2 year anniversary. We were living in Adelaide and she'd only been skiing once. So I spoke with her company and best friend and organised for her friend to cover her shifts. Then two hours before our flight was due to leave I told her to pack her bag for a four day trip. She had no idea what was happening! I love organising surprises although I'm terrible at keeping them a secret!
My philosphy on life is.... Actions speak louder than words, keep your feet on the floor, appreciate the simple things in life and be better than you were yesterday.
Why did you decide to get involved in the health and fitness industry? It's the only thing I was ever interested in. I went to a very good school where parents were constantly talking their kids into being lawyers and doctors! Forget that! Do what you're passionate about. Unfortunately some of those guys are back at uni doing another degree because they're not interested in what they studied. Follow your passion!
How do you keep your clients motivated? I constantly restructure their goals and keep it fresh! A lot of my clients have reached their goal weight and their health is first class so I set them physical challenges such as adventure races which 'Ministry of Wellbeing' do as a team!
What’s your favourite way to relax and unwind? There is nothing quite as peaceful as a surf. I work with people all day so it's nice to have some quiet time to myself. I also find a 2-3 night stay somewhere out of town every couple of months helps keep me fresh. Those few days can feel like a week's holiday! I come back recharged and ready to roll!
