Meditating for a few minutes a day can alleviate triggers and stresses by helping us be our best. Then, we can give our all to others and most importantly ourselves.

There are many different approaches to meditation and relaxation. Here are the best meditation techniques to unwind and destress for your zodiac sign:


To cool down your hot headedness, take a few breaths out of your nose to clear your energy. Try a technique known as Nadi Shodhana Pranayama. Place your left hand on your left knee. Put your right thumb on your right nostril and exhale. Inhale through your left nostril. Repeat for 5 minutes on the same sides to decrease anxiety and to grow calmer. 


You’re a lover, which is all the more reason why you need to be touched in order to stay present in your body. In the age of social distancing, you can unwind solo by sitting in a chair and hugging your legs while focusing on your breath. The weight and warmth of your body will awaken your body and mind connection together harmoniously.


A simple way to unplug from life is to take account of your surroundings by the 5-4-3-2-1 method, before dizzying your head. Take note of 5 things you see, 4 things you hear, 3 things you smell, 2 things you feel, and 1 thing you taste. Repeat this list out loud. Engaging your senses will always keep your airy tendencies grounded and centered.


A body scan meditation will help melt away your crabby anxieties. Lay down on the floor or your bed, close your eyes, let your mind be calm, slow your breathing, feel your body sink into the ground underneath you and feel the air on the bottoms of your feet. Nothing will put you more at ease than feeling all of the waves of relaxation pulse through you.


Close your eyes, Leo. Rest your hands on your knees. Breathe in and out twice. In this moment, you should think about what you love most about yourself. As you’re meditating on your awesomeness, let your heart fill with love. Release all the negative thoughts you have in your mind about yourself, while filling your heart up with a golden light. Feel the warmth within.


Sit in a chair. Stop. Breathe. Think. Place your hands on your knees. Close your eyes. Let your breath release negative thoughts within. Feel your feet touching the floor. Root your feet and push your energy forcefully into the floor. Concentrate on things you want to detox out of your life and push them away into the ground to clear your body of negative emotions.


Write a love letter to the most important person in the world — YOU! Meditate on three things about yourself that you love and three things you want to change. Write them down. This meditative exercise will allow you to transform your world and make it better by expressing what you want. You will be able to manifest the life you desire in no time.


For your meditation, you’ll need to get deep. This will require the use of a black obsidian crystal to help detox your aura and get rid of the collective energy your sensitive heart has picked up. Hold the crystal in the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together, with the crystal in the middle. Count backwards from 10 to 1 to center your thoughts.


Imagine yourself floating in outer space. You’re amongst the stars and the Sagittarius constellation in the center of the Milky Way. You are weightless and relaxed in space. Let that energy and vibe transport you to galaxies beyond ours. You’re amidst the unknown, fearless and calm. You are experiencing beautiful sensations you’ve never known. Feel the energy. Be free. Let yourself run wild in infinite possibility.


Muscles remember emotional triggers. When our bodies are stressed, they can remember aches and pain associated with certain feelings. Being the workaholic that you are, you need to stretch out your legs and arms frequently while breathing in air to your core. This will cleanse your muscles and detox your mind simultaneously. Then, you can get back to work without a hitch.


Normally, you feel most revived with a fresh air meditation. But circumstances being as they are, we need to alter your personal practise. Open a window in your room. Sit on the floor facing the window. Close your eyes. Feel the wind and sunlight on your skin. Breathe in and out in rhythm with the wind. Let yourself be at one with nature.


As the sea-witch of the zodiac, you’ll find your meditative vibe in the shower or bath. While cleansing your body, imagine all the stress pouring out. Think of yourself as a snake, shedding off layers of toxicity. Let the warm water heal you and restore your happiness. When you come out of the shower or bath, you will feel cleansed, well, energized, and peaceful.
