The classic Nokia 3310 is making a comeback

Are you ready to go retro? The iconic Nokia 3310 is back!

It was the world's most popular phone back in 2000 and now a 'reimagined' version of the classic Nokia 3310 has been unveiled.

Just like the original, the phone promises to be incredibly durable and boasts a longer battery life. It has a whopping 22 hours of talk time and a one month standby time per charge - "remember when you could leave the house without a charger?" cites the Nokia website.

It it also comes with a 2.4 inch colour screen - which is slightly larger than its legendary predecessor - and a 2.4 megapixel camera.

The phone comes in four distinct colours - warm red and yellow (with a gloss finish), and dark blue and grey (in matte).

And never fear - because the legendary Snake game is back too! And it comes with an update to make it even more fun to play on the colour screen.

Nokia says the phone will be availble in Europe the second half of 2017 and will set you back 49 Euros - or around AUD 65.

However, the big question - when will it be coming to Australia - remains uncertain. It relies on a 2G connectivity for all calling and texting and the 2G network is in the process of being phased out.

According to LifeHacker, Nokia have said: "We will start roll it out in Q2 to markets where a 2.5G device is demanded by our customers and consumers. We just announced it in Mobile World Congress (MWC) and we haven’t shared our plans for individual markets."
