The secret to a happy marriage revealed

Research has finally revealed what the secret to a happy marriage is.

When it comes to keeping both parties happy in a marriage, it seems the old adage is true: absence really does make the heart fonder.

A survey from Travelodge has found that four in ten people who worked away from home were extremely happy in their relationships. In comparison, only three in ten people were satisfied if they were together all the time.

The findings revealed that five days per month was the best amount of time to be apart from your significant other. This period of time results in each person in the relationship realising just how much they miss their loved ones and enhances the passion when they do reunite.

Not only, did the survey reveal that time away from her partner is good for the relationship, but it also gave each party much-needed time to themselves.

So, really it's in the name of a happy marriage that we should be taking that well-deserved girls trip!
