What if we told you that chocolate milk is just as good for you as sports drinks and water?
Although chocolate milk has long been a delicious treat, a new study published in the European Journal of Clinical Nutrition claims that drinking this beverage before or after exercising yields the same results as drinking a dedicated sports drink or water.

The study reveals that chocolate milk contains carbohydrates, proteins and fat, along with water and electrolytes.
In comparison to sports drinks and water, the research found that chocolate milk gave the same, or far better, results than its counterparts.
But before we get too excited and stock up on choccy milk, there is a clause that does say larger sample sizes need to be studied – especially since there are high sugar levels to consider.
