Why did you choose to be a part of Wife Swap Australia?
We like to keep on our toes by throwing ourselves out of our comfort zone every now and then.
How did you find the experience?
I found the experience fantastic. I was spoilt by the swapped family. They were very friendly and the girls were so open and talkative. Mick was great at conversation and the crew were good to hang with. Glen would hesitate if asked to do it again, but for a once in a lifetime opportunity we have no regrets. My family did not think much of Cindy but they liked the process.
What was the highlight of being involved on Wife Swap?
The highlight for me was having my ideas challenged, taking me out of my comfort zone. I realised that I could manage this and still stay true to myself, not to mention the location, location, location!
What was the hardest obstacle or challenge you faced?
For Glen it was routine change and not being able to spend time with the children as often as he would have liked to because of Cindy’s rules. Having no contact with Glen was pretty difficult for me as we speak to each other at least twice during the day then also at night. When I found out I was going to Queensland I couldn’t even phone him and share my excitement.
What one thing did you take away from your experience that you'll apply to your own family life?
That life may not always be a holiday, but you do need to stop worrying and enjoy the moment.
What do you think you taught the other family?
I hope I taught them that if you speak to each other you may find you actually enjoy each other’s company.
