Mother's Surprise When She Gives Birth To A Baby Boy Instead Of A Girl

This Australian mum was told she was having a girl... but the ultrasound isn't always right!

Koto Nakamura was giving birth in Tasmania when she received the news her baby was a boy.

The news came as quite the shock considering Koto was told by her physicians to expect a baby girl.

The moment Koto found out was captured by her birth photographer, Jessica Jackson from Itty Bitty Photography.

Jessica said Koto and her husband, Sina Niakansafy, were expecting a baby girl and had already picked out the name Hinata for the expected daughter.

When Koto found out she had really given birth to a boy, she looked at her photographer and said: "Not Hinata?"

“Once she took a look for herself and it sunk in they were beyond excited and Sina was planning camping trips with his son," Jessica told Kidspot

Instead, the couple and first-time parents named their little boy Taiga.

Taiga reportedly means "big and gracious" in Japanese, which is Koto's heritage.
