Let’s get to know Sarah …

Fashion mantra you live by: “A draped neckline is a girl’s best friend (it lengthens the neck, highlights a jawline and creates an elegant shape to any outfit).”

Must-have beauty products: “Trilogy Rosehip oil …fixes blemishes, smooths and is simply natural. Full-stop. I also love True Solutions’ tinted sunscreen. I wear it most days instead of foundation – it gives amazing coverage and doesn’t clog my pores. And I’m a bit in love with Pureology’s range of shampoo…no sulphates, vegan and “flavoured” with peppermint oil, which makes your scalp zing!”

Style muse: “Helena Christensen.”

Biggest indulgence: “Eating very good food. I spare little expense.”

Exercise ritual: “Every morning I exercise, even if it’s just a 20-minute walk to the beach. It’s the “every day” part that counts. Within in 10 minutes of waking I’m out of the house – doing yoga, jogging, sand running, swimming or light weights at the outdoor gym down at the beach. I don’t muck about. This is also important. There needs to be flow to keep the joy in it for me.”

Most loved book: “The Miracle of Mindfulness. It’s by a Vietnamese monk and is so elegant and true.”

Favourite LifeStyle YOU® show: “Anything with Gok in it…his energy is infectious. And he genuinely cares about women and their body image.”

Most played on your iPod: “Bon Iver.”

Last meal: “Oxtail risotto with broccolini with my mum who was visiting.”

Favourite saying: “Let it go…”

Worst habit: “Not letting go!”

Top beauty tip: “Oil. It’s all about oil. Eat plenty of it (flaxseed, hemp, Omega-3). And wear it (sesame oil on your body; rosehip on the face).”

Secret obsession: “Tetris. I can play it for hours.”

Best friend: “My dear mate Ragni. We met waitressing when I was 18 and have travelled and camped and argued together since then. I admire her immensely – she’s had three kids while setting up her legal practice, while still managing to be a wonderful, caring friend.”

Happiest memory: “Lying on a park bench in Milan, in the sun, eating ricotta and fresh tomatoes I’d just bought at the market.”

Favourite holiday spot: “The Australian desert. I love camping under the stars out there.”

First job: “Packing trays in a nursery, aged 11.”

Secret talent: “Um, I can milk a goat?!”

Greatest achievement: “Learning to meditate.”

Best chill-out tip: “Sit by the ocean for 20 minutes. And think nothing.”
