1. What is Zumba Step?
Zumba® Step combines all the benefits of a traditional step class with the freedom to dance and manoeuvre to some great beats! It’s an extreme lower-body workout for your glutes, legs and thighs.
2. How is it different from regular Zumba?
Zumba Step incorporates all the traditional fitness and dance moves of regular Zumba but also incorporates the step as a workout tool to really enhance the intensity on the lower body Zumba Step classes have approximately 30 percent step moves, 30 percent traditional fitness moves and 40 percent dance.
3. What are the benefits?
Zumba Step is great for sculpting the lower body – particularly the glutes, legs and core. Using the step in the class means you’re getting a significant interval workout, which will really get your legs burning and help increase your fitness. One class of Zumba Step can be the equivalent of climbing 4,000 metres! If that’s not enough to entice you to try it, the different moves can also help to improve balance and coordination.
Most of all, Zumba Step is fun! Most people find that taking a class doesn’t just help their fitness but also their happiness and self-esteem.
4. How difficult is the class?
The Zumba philosophy is that anyone can do it so the steps are easy-to-follow and can be modified whether you’re a beginner or an expert. Don’t be fooled, Zumba Step is a total body workout, but as soon as the music gets started, you’ll forget all about it!
5. Do you need to be a regular Zumba attendee to try Zumba Step?
