Angelina Jolie has no regrets about her health decisions and is embracing early menopause.
After having her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed back in March, following a cancer scare, the 40-year-old actress says she isn’t bothered by entering early menopause, in fact she loves it.
“I actually love being in menopause,” she told the Daily Telegraph.
“I haven’t had a terrible reaction to it, so I’m very fortunate.
"I feel older, and I feel settled being older," the actress and humanitarian continued. "I feel happy that I've grown up. I don't want to be young again."
The mother of six has been extremely open about her health choices, writing two pieces for the New York Times on her cancer diagnosis and her choices that followed.
Angelina says that her surgeries including her double mastectomy and the removal of her fallopian tubes have made her feel more like a woman.
"I feel feminine, and grounded in the choices I am making for myself and my family," she wrote in one of her articles.
"I know my children will never have to say, ‘Mom died of ovarian cancer.’"
