3 Exercises to Boost Your Sex Life

If you want to turn up the heat under the sheets, your exercise regime can play a key part in boosting your sex life.

While dim lighting and scented candles can set the scene, it's up to you to deliver the goods!

Tone up and strengthen your essential muscles for sex with these top five exercises.

Yoga

Roll out your mat and get practising on your downward dog and eagle, lizard and bridge poses, because yoga is a no-brainer when it comes to top exercises to improve your sex life.

It's not only about flexibility here, yoga can help to calm your mind and invigorate your body, two elements that can only add to your lovemaking experience.

Research published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine also found that sexually dissatisfied women reported better orgasms after taking up the exercise - so set a few minutes aside each week to get working on your poses!

Squats

No need for any equipment with this exercise, simply take a few minutes out of your day to perform a few sets of squats to tone up your legs and butt.

Squats can not only help you to achieve a better looking rear, but can also energise your libido.

Stress management specialist and fitness expert Debbie Mandel told American website Woman's Day that squats can help with providing a "little physical help" with arousal.

She says the lower you squat the more you "recruit your glutes". Make sure to keep your heels on the floor as you lower to 'sit' on your imaginary chair - do your squats right to reap the benefits!

Pole dancing

The advantages of this exercise are obvious - but adding a sexy strip routine to your arsenal is not the only benefit that can be gained from learning to pole dance.

Women around Australia have been flocking to studios and dance classes to take up this exercise that firms and tones muscle, improves physical strength, and increases balance and flexibility.

If you really want to spice up your love life, you may want to join celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Carmen Electra who have installed stripper poles in their bedrooms.
