Owners John and Kitsa have a lot riding on the success of this renovation.
The couple are desperate to get themselves out of a business decision that has eaten up a lot of their life savings and taken more time than they realised it would.
Meanwhile, the successful sale of this property will see the Selling Houses team nab their 100th sale, so is the team up for the challenge?
John and Kitsa’s dream of opening a café in this charming corner terrace in Crows Nest, NSW was forging ahead until they realised how much time they were spending on their organic and fermented food business. Choosing to spend more time with their family, they’ve decided to shut up shop and sell the property.
The Terrace is located in a real estate hot spot, having low supply and high demand. And the area was recently voted Sydney’s most liveable suburb. So why isn't it selling?
Despite a lot of interest, they haven’t been able to get a sale over the line in over eight months. Buyers are confused about what’s on offer. Is it a shop front or a house?
And to be honest, the Selling Houses team are confused too. Luckily, Andrew can see the big picture for this place and the real estate potential of the property is enough to get him excited for the team’s 100th sale.
But this isn’t your average terrace renovation. Both council zoning and heritage building restrictions are making this project difficult, and while Charlie and Shaynna have a healthy budget to work with – they have a lot to do and are basically starting from scratch.
Well, Shaynna has a lot to do. Charlie can’t quite find himself a space to work with and when he does – it’s not ideal.
So, can the team turn this terrace around without too much drama?
