Top Bathroom Trends on a Budget

Shaynna Blaze shares her top tips for the latest in bathroom trends that can give you the look for less.

Bathrooms are often the one room that is neglected and renovating them can cost a bomb. Here are some top tips for the latest in bathroom trends that can give you the look for less

  • The great thing about bathrooms is they don’t change trends quite as fast as other rooms in the home, so if you choose well they’ll have a lot more staying power. The trend for luxury hotel inspired bathrooms grows. People want a glamourous space where they can chill out and unwind after a hectic day!
  • Deep freestanding tubs like the one I chose for this house, help create a dramatic effect and a spa like bathroom feel. For that hotel experience, chose natural colours, which give a more luxurious look.

  • If you want to make the space look bigger, putting in a neutral coloured floor will achieve it.

  • Heated floors keep your feet warm during the winter are not that difficult to install. Additions such as heated towel rails and large rain shower-heads create luxury and the spa resort effect.

  • Fully mirrored walls from countertops to ceiling over vanities help stretch the space visually, and create a streamline look.

  • Focused mode lighting and leds are replacing broad overhead lighting. Making the light flexible and easily changed from functional to atmospheric.

  • Decorate your bathroom as you would any other room. Think outside the box! Use striking wall art, bespoke murals, and  texture, to bring it to life

Think of you bathroom as a room to be decorated, rather than one to simply equip. It may be the smallest room in the house but that doesn’t mean it needs to be boring

As the pictures show I am thrilled to see the use of different textures and color on the walls. The problem I see is that this kind of textures and colors use can be expensive and time consuming I found the best solution for this, and it is called fotowall by and they have a ideas gallery which is extremely helpful tool to find inspiration.
