The genius hack for cleaning shower doors taking social media by storm

People have discovered that combining two favourite products leads to an amazing streak-free clean.

Everyone loves a good cleaning hack. If there's a way to get hard to clean places or things sparkling like new with little-to-no effort, and with limited cost, then social media will go wild for it.

Hard water marks and soap scum residue on shower screens can be tough to remove. The white silt can fog up the glass and make it impossible to see through.

As discussed by 7news, Aussie mums in the Mums Who Clean Facebook page discovered that dishwasher tablets easily cut through the grime. The problem that they present with this solution is that it can be quite hard to grip a wet dishwasher tablet.

So in order to hold the tablet, savvy mums cut a hole into a scouring sponge and placed the dishwashing tablet in it. This then allows you to dip it in water regularly, and wipe the dishwashing solution on your shower screen while scrubbing simultaneously.

Recently, an improved version of the hack has emerged. Joanne posted in the same Mums Who Clean Facebook group that she had been using a Magic Eraser Sponge instead of a regular scourer: "It worked brilliantly for the shower glass".

Commenters were very excited about the world this presented for cleaning glass surfaces, not just shower screens: "BRB trying this right now," wrote one group member, while another said, "Tried it! Omg! So good!"

Someone also suggested, "I do this on my oven door. Great stuff!"
