Squeaky Staircase or Floorboards

Squeaky boards can occur when there’s a gap between the boards, making them rub together. Shannon reveals how to get rid of that squeaky noise.

• Apply talcum powder to the timber and allow it to penetrate the cracks in the boards by jumping/stomping on them. Get the kids involved!
• The talc acts as an absorbent and fine lubricant and should stop the squeaking for at least six months.

Is there a solution to repair squeaky floor boards that have been carpeted please?

Kind regards, Denise.
