Simple Ways to Revamp your Kitchen

Update your kitchen on a budget with these simple ideas from the experts at Bunnings.

The kitchen is the centrepiece of your home and generally what potential buyers look at first. An old kitchen can put them off so it’s a good idea to update it.

Fortunately, you don’t have to spend a lot of time or money. There are plenty of easy ways to refurbish your kitchen that will help you get top dollar for your home.

1. Cabinets and Shelves

Start with your cabinetry. You can replace them altogether or just install new doors. Kaboodle offers a range of styles, colours and sizes from coloured MDF, glass panels and wooden.

For more storage, install some wall-mounted shelves. There are heaps of options like adjustable spice racks, under shelf storage racks or wooden shelving.

2. Fittings

Accessories and fixtures complete the look of your kitchen. Changing them requires little effort but it’ll make a big impact. Replace the handles, knobs and hinges on your cabinetry. You should also consider installing new tap ware and there are plenty of contemporary styles available.

3. Paint

You don’t just have to paint the walls to improve your kitchen. A coat or two on your cabinets and drawers is a quick and easy way to add some colour. You can even find paints specially designed to revive old laminate benchtops or wall tiles, and Bunnings shows you how to do it here.

4. Flooring

Updating your floor can make your kitchen look like a completely new space. There are loads of floor coverings available to suit any budget from ceramic, terracotta or porcelain tiles to laminate, wooden or vinyl. They look great and they last. And if you have worn out floorboards, sand and polish them.

5. Lighting

Whether you want to upgrade your fixtures or just brighten the whole space up, new lighting can quickly improve the look in your kitchen. Choose from a huge range of stylish ceiling, pendant and down lights. Plus, there’s under cabinet lighting, which can highlight and enhance various features of your kitchen.

I like this updated kitchen which is shown above .This is actually looking somewhat more classic compared to previous one because of white colour used for cabinets and for wall .Recently, I got marble sarasota for my kitchen from Omicron granite .
