Selling Houses Australia

Andrew Winter’s touching message to Charlie Albone as he quits the show

It's safe to say that Andrew Winter and Charlie Albone have been firm friends since the very first episode of Selling Houses Australia.

But their unique friendship isn’t just on-screen banter, they’re equally as close off screen.

With Charlie’s last episode airing last night on LifeStyle, Andrew has posted a heartfelt, yet cheeky goodbye message to his co-host and friend.

“A sad day. The last episode with this cheeky, slightly balding, not as young as he was, gardening type,” Andrew posted on social media.

“Let him sail off to his new venture, seen here alongside The Winter family super yacht in 2016. We only let him back on-board when he had put his shirt back on. Bye bye Bone,” he continued posting his comment alongside a picture of Charlie shirtless in a rubber dingy.

Charlie affectionately responded, “You got me Winty…one day I’ll post that pic of you I have without the wig on.... revenge is a dish best served cold.”

But Andrew didn’t stop there, continuing the banter by saying: “When we first found him, he was living in a shabby old flat share with his trusty dog and a beaten up ute on the street. It was a sad sight. But his begging paid off. When Ms Blaze and I decided to give him a break.”

The pair’s relationship - full of quips and jokes - is certainly unique and no one knows this better than Shaynna Blaze, who says it all started from day one on set.

“We didn’t have an audition together with the three of us and on the very first day was when we all met,” she said.

“From day one your banter was like two little naughty boys and it hasn’t changed.”

Charlie recalls he started laughing at Andrew on episode two!

“There was a bright orange cupboard and I was like oh look Andrew, that’s the same colour as your spray tan, and that’s where it all started,” he said.

“We’re both from Bristol – he’s from the rubbish side, but I’m from the good side.

“I’m really the posh one, not him.”

And the playful digs at each other continue offscreen when the pair are hanging out boating or having dinner with each other’s families.

So while Charlie’s last episode on Selling Houses Australia has wrapped up, the pair will continue their friendly banter for a long time yet, and we'll be watching!
