Looking for a new and easy DIY activity?
With families still at home more than ever, it can be difficult to take the kids outdoors. That's when one mum found a thrifty solution to keep her little kids entertained while not having to leave the house.
Posting in the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group, the mum shared her newest hack which included just a few Kmart foam pool noodles.
Instead of buying a large play pen which can be costly and bulky, the mum created her own soft, colourful and budget-friendly play pen out of $2 Kmart pool noodles which have blown everyone away.
"Kmart pool noodle hack! So happy with how it turned out," she wrote, along with two photos of her fabulous DIY job.
The mum lay some of her foam playmates on the floor as the base, then hot-glued the pool noodles together securing them with bolts to make each wall before constructing each side together with a few plastic brackets.
She then filled the playpen with plastic balls from a ballpit and added a small slide for her children to slide into it.
In less than 24 hours, the mum has received over two-and-a-half thousand likes for her ingenious hack, proving that you don't need to spend big to get impressive results.
Hundreds of other parents have commented on the Kmart hack, inspiring them to do the same thing:
"This is awesome," one parent wrote.
"This is so cool! My daughter would love it. I can see her smile already!" another shared.
But while some parents were in awe of the nifty idea, others were less optimistic about their children keeping it in tact!
"As amazing as it is, wouldn't last five minutes with my boys," another mum wrote.
Either way, we can commend this Kmart mum for her genius DIY hack and we're sure her kids love it!
