Is your home lacking a garden? IKEA may just have the answer.
Swedish furniture giant IKEA could be about to revolutionise urban gardens after launching The Growroom.
Space10, an innovation lab supported by IKEA, designed the flat-pack DIY garden, which is specifically aimed at those living in the city.
Jumping on the trend for vertical gardens, the orb is made out of plywood and has plenty of space for growing your own vegetables and plants.
Free instructions on how to construct The Growroom have been released by Space10 following its initial launch last year, meaning anyone can now give creating their own a go.
The lab said: "The original version of The Growroom sparked interest and people requested to either buy or exhibit The Growroom.
"But it doesn’t make sense to promote local food production and then start shipping it across oceans and continents.
"That is why we now release The Growroom as open source design and encourage people to build their own locally as a way to bring new opportunities to life."
Better still, you can sit inside while the garden is being watered and not get wet thanks to its impressive clever design.
