IKEA is giving away amazing flat-pack mini-builds

The FREE building activities are designed in collaboration with some of Australia's favourite celebs.

IKEA wants you to relax at home. The Swedish furniture giant has released a collection of fun little flat-pack kits for Aussies to sit back and build.

They claim that each one takes no longer than 15 minutes to construct and does not require tools. Every piece in the 'Mindsets' series is designed in partnership with famous Australians from a variety of industries.

The idea grew out of the company's annual Life at Home Report, which, in 2019, revealed that "privacy is one of the most important emotional needs of home, but we don’t always feel we get enough," states the IKEA website.

"We understand the frustration of Australians not having privacy at home, particularly in the current environment, and so we want to use our knowledge to give a little inspiration to make life at home better, and more relaxed.

"Our latest creation, IKEA Mindsets, take 15 minutes to construct, securing a bit of privacy for people in their homes by allowing them to engage in mindful activity."

The 'Mindsets' collection includes a suspended birdhouse created by celeb gardener, Jason Hodges, a flat-pack xylophone from Emma 'Yellow Wiggle' Watkins, a super-cute dog puzzle from Insta-famous sausage dog, Mr Chuck, and a scuplture designed by Australian mural artist, Fintan Magee.

To accompany the mindfulness flat-pack activity, each collaborator has also curated a Spotify playlist, specially designed to be listened to while making your piece. You can even craft a makeshift phone speaker using the 'Mindset' box.

IKEA has stocked fewer than 2000 'Mindsets' for distribution, so grab one while they're still available. Online ordering has been suspended due to high demand.
