Selling Houses Australia

Andrew Winter reveals his favourite Selling Houses Australia renovation - and you might be surprised!

Every week on Selling Houses Australia, Andrew Winter has the unenviable job of looking around houses that aren't selling.

Then he has to tell the homeowners exactly where they're going wrong.

But even though Andrew enjoys every single renovation the team completed in Season 13, Andrew admits that during all ten episodes, he did have one stand-out episode but it might not be for the reason you think.

"Every single house was great in Season 13," he admits. "The homeowners were all warm and open to change and they were all so different.

"We did the Kaniva pub, a huge family ranch, we got our 100th sale and who can forget the wonderful Port Adelaide supporters Sao and Crissy."

But Andrew's favourite experience was when the team travelled to Waratah for the first episode and we met Jarryd and Erica, and their four children under 11.

"Yes it was the property that was great," says Andrew. "But that family were fantastic.

"They had four little children who completely bowled me over. They were so well-behaved and sometimes when you know there are kids coming to the set, it can be difficult. But not with these children - they were so polite!

"They were the most glorious family. I would have babysat the kids quite happily if I'd been asked!"

Andrew also says he has nothing but great memories of Jacquie and John from Kaniva Club Hotel and Sandie and Tony from The Gap were also a joy to work with.

"The Gap couple were awesome," he says. "What people might not realise is the effort, Tony the husband, actually put in to that renovation. It was totally unique and even when we were there he was helping out whenever he could.

Andrew adds, "Of course, some viewers felt that you don't need to help people who have a big, expensive house but if you'd seen just how much effort he put in to making that renovation worked you'd have been amazed. He worked his socks off!"

Andrew has revealed that Selling Houses Australia is hoping to go back into production very soon so fans can get their new fix of the next smash-hit season of the LifeStyle show.

"It's a highlight for me every year," says Andrew. "We love the show as much as the audience do - I can't wait to get going again!"
