To celebrate the release of his new collection for IKEA, we take a look at some of Tom Dixon's most enchanted designs from all around the world.
Tom Dixon's DELAKTIG modular lounge collection for IKEA was revealed earlier this year. The endlessly configurable couch is made to be personalised and hacked to your taste for years to come—though it still echoes the English industrial designer's inimitable, bold style.
With little formal training, Tom shot into the international design stratosphere with the now iconic 'S Chair', an artistic piece he designed for Italian furniture house, Cappellini. In 2002, he established his own brand and began to focus his attention on ethereal pendant lamps like the covetable copper 'Melt' light, new chairs and furniture, and homewares in his signature metallic finish like candles, diffusers, and glassware.
The designer also lends his style and design expertise to interiors—creating enchanting, moody, and otherworldly environments in the UK and further afield through his interiors company, Design Research Studio.
Here, we take a look at a few of our favourite Tom Dixon-designed hotels, bars, and restaurants.
