Shannon Fricke

Shannon Fricke, loves to decorate. And she loves to inspire others to do the same.

Born in Sydney, and raised by Bondi Beach, Shannon’s was a typical Australian childhood – spent running barefoot and by the beach. Life was simple and humble back then and it is these principles that have guided her way of living ever since. Her childhood home on the other hand was a hive of colour, pattern and energy, created as a result of her mother’s passion for all things decorative. Growing up against this colourful backdrop (amongst a palette of warm-blooded reds and oranges, with a dash of olive for good measure) inspired Shannon’s own passion for interior decorating. And, it was here, that the foundations were laid for the easy-going but eclectic style that has become her signature.

For Shannon, home is a sanctuary – it’s a place where you can let your hair down, kick off your shoes and enjoy the day to day of living. ‘I believe that how you decorate your home can have a big influence on how you feel living in it, and my aim is to offer people the decorating tools needed to create home they love.’

Shannon’s holistic, stylish and practical approach to decorating has made her a respected authority on the interior decorating stage. She has presented over 60-episodes of HOME for The Lifestyle Channel and was voted Favourite Female Subscription Television Presenter at the 2005 ASTRA Awards. As well as HOME, Shannon has appeared on Postcards from Home, Houseguests and An Insider’s Guide to Collecting. She has published two books – sense of style: colour and sense of style: space and writes regularly for Inside Out magazine.

Shannon lives with her family on their farm between the coast and the country in New South Wales, Australia – and spends her time, cooking, gardening and hanging out with her horse!

You can now find Shannon online via her brand new website and find out details about her personal workshops and also purchase copies of her Sense Of Style range of books aimed at helping you to develop your own sense of individuality.
